Parking Squid, perhaps a friend to those giant squid lurking in the depths of Puget Sound, was commission by the Seattle Department of Transportation in 2009 and installed in 2012. Parking Squid's raised bike-wheel clutching tentacle beckons cyclists to lock their bikes to her while also creating a new iconic locus for meeting and interaction.

You can currently find Parking Squid lurking on the north side of the EMP building in Seattle Center.
