Nature Watching/The Pink Wall acts as a prologue to the larger work, Recording Field Level 5. Susan redesigned the architecture of the gallery creating this stage-like wall installation to suggest the living space of a person who relinquished their agency to the misplaced utopian quest for better living through contemporary design objects. The wall’s slant funnels the viewer deeper into the exhibition, into a world where researchers desperately try to repair and understand a Nature strained by human presence.
