Signal Transduction Knowledge Environment

Signal transduction is the means by which plants exchange information about their environment, allowing them to make any necessary changes or adaptations. This piece, inspired by the eruption of desert flowers I encountered in California, is an imagined amplification of that plant-to-plant communication. With its heavily layered and processed whispered four-channel audio track repeating, “It’s in the air. It’s in the water,” it endeavors to make visible that which is imperceptible.
