The Challenge Nature Provides I, and II suggest an animal attack, yet the victim appears relaxed. With their various possible readings slipping and sliding, the images serve as shorthand for the embodied struggle, the challenge we confront and grapple with as beings trying to reconcile our animal and human natures.
